Background
Due to his father’s job transfer, Honda has spent six years in Bangkok, Thailand until entering high school in Japan.
After becoming a lawyer, he was involved in a JFBA and JICA project for three years, launching and operating a Cambodian lawyer training school. While engaging in international legal assistance, he also works on human rights issues of foreigners in Japan, such as getting not guilty verdicts in criminal cases involving foreigners.
Recently, he has a strong interest in the human rights issues of children, who are involved in conflicts of international divorces and separations of couples. He has handled a number of Hague Convention cases, joint custody cases, and other international family law cases, and has won favorable judgments.
He is also involved in the relief of victims of cross-border investment damage and international accidents.
